SCHOLARSHIP POLICY & PROCEDURES
Jackson Hole Lacrosse Club (“JHLC”) is a non-profit corporation operating under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. JHLC is dedicated to benefiting the youth of greater Jackson Hole area, including the Jackson Hole, WY, Star Valley, WY and Teton Valley, ID areas, by providing lacrosse sports programs.
As part of its Mission, it is JHLC’s goal to make youth lacrosse available to all willing participants, regardless of economic status or ability to pay. JHLC further recognizes that the cost of registration and the purchase of lacrosse equipment is significant. Therefore, Jackson Hole Lacrosse Club is willing to consider a limited number of financial assistance scholarships based on need in specific instances. JHLC sees a scholarship as a two-way street, and any recipient of financial assistance will be required to volunteer for Jackson Hole Lacrosse. A list of volunteer opportunities will be made available upon request.
Financial scholarships offered by JHLC are only available for the youth registration fee, and not for the required US Lacrosse membership or the cost of equipment (JHLC may have rental or used equipment available); players and/or player’s family will be responsible for the US Lacrosse membership fee and equipment costs.
In order to apply for a financial scholarship, a player/family must apply by filling out the JHLC Financial Assistance Application located on our website www.jacksonholelacrosse.com - go to the "JHLC Documents" Tab on the left side of the page and then click on the JHLC Scholarship Documents Folder). Any inquiry and/or application for financial assistance will be kept in strict confidence by JHLC. Scholarships will be determined by the Executive Director in conjunction with the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, and will be granted or denied in the sole discretion of JHLC.
